"Re-forming Music Teacher Education: Recent Trends and New Directions for Foundations"




As part of its agenda for change in music education the MayDay Group is offering an Institute highlighting recent trends and new directions for renewal. Leading figures in various foundations of music education fields summarize the latest trends and developments and lead discussions concerning the importance of such changes for music teacher education. Emphasis is given to the relevance of new research to the practical needs of music teacher educators, graduate students and in-service teachers.
